Max from Sydney's Northern Beaches studies Commerce/Law

From: Avalon, Sydney’s Northern Beaches (Having Coogee and Bondi close by to New College is almost as good as living at home).

High School: I spent primary school in the UK & USA before moving to Sydney for High School where I attended St Lukes Grammar School in Dee Why.

Studies: 1st Yr Dual Degree in Commerce/Law.

Why New College? My first impression of New College was that it was a vibrant and bustling place. New College is filled with smart and ambitious students who are open to have a bit of fun. After seeing New College I didn’t look anywhere else. Living on campus is convenient, fun, and makes for an incredible university experience.

Favourite meal at College? Dirty Mex, I wish Mexican week was every week.

Any surprises? I think the variety of people that you meet is the most surprising and exciting thing about New College. There are entrepreneurs, professional sportsmen, and excellent musicians. It makes for a really dynamic and fast paced living environment. If you want to get involved you could pursue anything you wanted.

College Group: Fourth Floor

How have you got involved? I really enjoy getting involved with the sports teams and try to get to as many social events as possible.

Would you recommend New College to Year 12 students? Choose a place that suits what you want to get out of the university experience. It’s really hard to go wrong when choosing New College, there’s such a wide range of people! Also, be good to your mother.
