Night In White For Killara Refuge

Night in White for Killara Refuge

April 24, 2017
Posted by: Ash Braithwaite

In March, the New College Students’ Association (NCSA) held the College’s annual fundraising Night in White party. Night in White is an evening where students dress in white only to decorate themselves in bright paint and have a good time. The primary purpose of the night however, is to raise money in support of St Vincent De Paul’s Killara Refuge for Survivors of Domestic Violence.

This year, NCSA Social Director Tom von Stieglitz (on right) led the charge in focussing on increasing the contribution made by New College. Amazingly, collegians successfully raised more than $1000, about ten times more than the year before. In an inspired display of support, Tom and several freshers including Jono Lindsey (on left) decided to not only dress in white, but bleach their hair as well, doing an impressive job of raising awareness for the event in College.
