Entering a university college can be exciting – new friends to be made, adventures to be had, and independence to be gained. However, knowing that many challenges are presented to students when beginning university, support services of various kinds are offered to residents at New College. Each academic year the College appoints a number of residents to assist with providing these services.

Residential Advisors are senior residents located on each floor who provide an easy point of contact for residents in need of assistance. The Residential Advisors for 2016 are:

  • Senior Resident Adviser, Emily Trigge

  • James Nicol
  • Dominic Cooper
  • Annabel Paul

Academic Tutors are senior undergraduates who have done well in their own studies and who are willing and able to assist students in junior years. The Academic Tutors for 2016 are:

  • Senior Academic Tutor, Emily Kozera: Medicine (shared) – assignments & clinical skills

In addition to pastoral and academic support New College provides a variety of opportunities for residents to be involved in social, cultural and sporting activities and events. The New College Student Association (NCSA) organises a yearly social calendar, coordinates inter-college sports and maintains useful equipment and amenities for residents. The NCSA Executive elected for 2016 are:

  • President: Sarah Clark
  • Secretary: Henry O'Callaghan
  • Treasurer: Tim Davis
  • Female Sports: Erin Prince
  • Male Sports: Michael Joubert
  • Social: Michaela Padayachee
  • Social: Adam Hudson
  • Media: Yasith Ruberu

While being publicly and actively Christian, New College imposes no test of religious belief for its resident members but provides opportunities for those who are interested to find out more about the Christian faith. The New College Christian Fellowship (NCCF) is the resident group within College that co-ordinates many Christian activities. The NCCF Committee elected for 2016 are:

  • President: Kasper Fiebig
