2018 NCV Semester 1 Commencement Formal Dinner

NCV residents are invited to the Semester 1 Formal Dinner to be held at 6.30pm for drinks with guests seated at 7pm on Thursday 15 March in the New College Dining Room.  The dress code is "Cocktail" (so guys in suits and the ladies looking nicely dressed in a party "cocktail" dress. You are welcome to wear Formal Wear from your country of origin.  Do ask your Senior Resident if you are not sure what the dress code means).  

Our guest of honour will be Emeritus Professor John Black. Professor Black is the Foundation Professor of Transport Engineering at UNSW appointed in 1983 and is now an Emeritus Professor. He has supervised over 120 higher degree students from 24 different countries of the world.  During his career, Professor Black has worked as a researcher, teacher or consultant to governments in 37 different counties. In Japan alone, he has worked on 20 research projects with 37 publications with Japanese co-authors. He is a qualified professional career coach specializing in cross cultural communication.  This dinner will mark 50 years that John Black started as a researcher. During the course of our formal dinner, John will be sharing some of his passions for art, East Asia and transport systems.

Attendance at the dinner is free for NCV Residents but you must RSVP by 5pm on  Monday 12 March to be able to attend.  

If you RSVP to say you are coming but then decide after 12 March that you are unable it is your responsibility to find a replacement resident to take your place.
