Rooms & Bathrooms
Residents are accommodated within a group of eight or nine rooms. Each group of rooms is linked to a common room with a small kitchenette.
Each room is equipped with lamp, single bed, desk, chair, bookshelves and a built-in wardrobe. Each College room is equipped with its own phone, wall or floor heating and a data link to provide broadband internet access. The typical College room on levels 1-3 is 3.6 x 2.4 m, though a small number of rooms facing the central courtyard have a slightly different configuration. The rooms and common rooms on levels 1-3 were all refurbished as part of major renovations and upgrades to the College over the 2011/12 summer recess.
The 4th floor, constructed in 2004 has a wider variety of room configurations. During the mid-year break residents are normally required to vacate their rooms, though each room has a lockable space at the top of their wardrobe in which some belongings may be stored. There is also a box room located on each floor which provides further storage space.
The bathrooms for each group are single sex, containing private facilities. Each group of eight or nine rooms shares a bathroom with two toilets and two showers. A laundry with washing machines and driers is located on each floor.
Residents with bikes are able to store these in a locked, enclosed area under the College colonnade.
