Medical Centre
University Health Service at Kensington campus is a medical clinic with Doctors, Nurses and visiting Psychiatrists and an Orthopaedic surgeon. Services are available for all UNSW, COFA NIDA and UNSW Global students. Domestic students are bulk billed and overseas students are billed directly if they have insurance with OSHC Worldcare or Medibank Private.
The clinic has male and female doctors and a well-equipped treatment room. Interpreters can also be provided.
If you would like to see a doctor, you will need to make an appointment a few days in advance for non-urgent problems, but the clinic also offers a small number of urgent appointments each day. The service also provides referral to specialist doctors. A private dental practice is also located within the centre.
The doctors work closely with the campus counselling service, student services, accommodation providers, equity and diversity unit and international student office for students in crisis or with special.
The clinic is open Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 5.30pm and Friday: 8.30am to 5.00pm during semester and Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.00pm during vacations. After hours services are provided by an external health service, or in the case of emergency contact the local hospital emergency department - Prince of Wales Hospital, Barker Street , Randwick on 9382 2222, or call 000.
