The College is always alive with social activity. Students have their own representative organisation called the NCSA (to meet the team click here) who together with the college management organise various activities throughout the year.

Just a few of the social activities include:

  • Trivia Nights

O-Week

O-Week is the first function for the college calendar, packed with activities, sports and social events to help students meet each other and find out important information about life on campus. Most Collegians remember O-Week as one of the highlights of their College Days. Each year in November, current Collegians elect an O-Week committee that takes responsibility for the induction and welcome of the following year's freshers (i.e. new ‘New Collegians’). Residents at New College design a full program to give freshers as many opportunities as possible to get to know other members of the New College community. Activities like the annual Public Transport Rally, Harbour Cruise and other challenges are punctuated by information sessions taken by the residents, staff and administration. The University also runs information activities, library tours and welcome functions for faculties and schools.
