Applying for Bursary Assistance
Bursary assistance is available to a limited number of applicants each year who can show proof of disadvantage and/or financial need. Applications are invited and will be assessed by the Master and Dean. A letter of application addressed to the Master of New College, should accompany the application for College membership.
Australian students will need to provide evidence of their own (or their parents) taxable income; academic record and a letter outlining their case for financial assistance.
Undergraduate International students are not eligible for Bursary Assistance.
Postgraduate international students who can demonstrate financial need can apply by providing a letter outlining their personal circumstances; all sources of funding for their study at UNSW and their academic record.
Bursary assistance is generally allocated after the commencement of the academic year. The provision of bursary assistance in one year does not guarantee it will be continued the following year.
