O'Week 2014

With the 1st semester fast approaching returning residents of New College are busy preparing a fun program of activities and social events for Orientation Week.

Almost 100 First Year students will have the opportunity to live at New College in 2014. Their first week will be most memorable. Think “better than the best school excursion ever” and you are still a long way off imagining the levels of fun generally experienced during New College O’Week.

Laura came from Blayney to study Fine Arts and loved her O’Week Experience.

“I moved to New College on my birthday and I remember being so scared of living in the city, away from my quiet country home and everything I had ever known. However, the minute I walked in the door I was greeted by my lovely ‘oldies’ singing happy birthday and showering me with oversized birthday badges and party hats. Ever since that first day I have felt so incredibly at home here. Impromptu fun has become a normal part of life.”

The College is excited to soon welcome so many bright young students into our community. Six O’Week Leaders and seven Residents Advisors are getting ready to help the new students adjust to university life and get the most out of the experience of living on campus at UNSW.

If you are still looking for accommodation at UNSW, a small number of places have become available following the 2nd Round of University offers. If you are interested, contact us immediately to discuss an application.
