The first NCV Formal Dinner for 2016 will be held on Thursday 17 March in the New College Dining Room. Professor Richard Kingston will be our guest speaker. The evening will commence with drinks at 6.45pm in the Main Common Room at New College with the meal to be served at 7.00pm, the evening will conclude at 9.30pm. Please DO NOT BE LATE.
Professor Kingsford is the Director of the Centre for Ecosystem Science at UNSW. His research is centred on freshwater ecology, environmental management, zoology and conversation. He is responsible for the annual aerial survey of water birds across eastern Australia. His research in relation to the preservation of water birds in the Macquarie Marshes and Lake Eyre is well known. There have been a number of large scale biodiversity datasets resulting from his research, that help scientists to monitor changes in the distribution and abundance of 5 threatened species, and the health of rivers and wetlands.

Dress for the dinner is "lounge suit" or the formal wear from your country of origin. Ask your Senior Resident if you are unsure of the dress code or look at the photo on the foyer powerpoint to get an idea.
