∆ Prof Trevor Cairney, Master

From the Master

End of Session
This will be the last of our weekly news broadcasts untill next session so I wanted to wish you well for the rest of the exams (those still going). Thanks to those people who have sent their thoughts on the 12-week session.  I am still happy to take a few more comments up till next week.

I hope that most of you get a chance to have a genuine break and perhaps have time to catch up with family.

To those people leaving us I wanted to say farewell and thank you for your contribution to the College community.

Special thanks to the NCSA Exec and the NCCF exec for their work within the college as well as the many people who take on roles like coordinating committees, organising events etc.

Thank you also to the RA team led by Christine for the work they have done this session, it’s been a busy and full session for them as well.

I hope to have a week off during the break to read, walk and watch the sea somewhere but will look forward to seeing most of you back next session.

∆ Dr James Pietsch, Dean of Residents

From the Dean

Have a great break everyone – perhaps by middle July everyone will be ready to come back to College and make the most of next session. I’m looking forward to second session already  – Revue, Ball, weekend away and hopefully I will be able to make it to Band Night this session!

To the people heading overseas to build houses I hope you find it an enriching experience that stays in your memory and shapes your life choices in the future. We look forward to hearing about Mongolia, its people and its environment.

To those who are leaving us to study overseas – please keep in touch either through facebook or some other means!

To everyone who will be spending time with family, may this coming three weeks give you an opportunity to catch up, to talk about College, to hear from other members of your family what they have been up to and to find out about the world outside these four walls.

To those who are staying here over the break – well, there are the Americans and our other guests to get to know so I’m sure it won’t be boring!

Safe travels everyone
