Available during UNSW session breaks, New College has over 200 single bedrooms for casual budget accommodation. All rooms are supplied with a single bed (with linen including towel), desk, chair, lamp wardrobe, phone for receiving and under carpet heating. The single rooms are organized in groups of eight or nine around a common room. This common room has a small kitchenette with a sink and fridge with tea / coffee making facilities. Each group shares a single sex bathroom, which contains two showers and two toilets.
Also available are Student Flats during the summer break. There are six (6) Student Flats, two on each floor above the ground floor. The Student flats consist of a separate sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, desk and chair. The sitting room has a phone for receiving calls, and a kitchenette with a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities (you need to provide your own tea, coffee, milk etc).
Over the years New College has been able to provide conference facilities for academic conferences, student educational courses, further educational courses, student exchange programs, committee meetings and workshops. We have also provided accommodation to a number of guests including international and interstate academics visiting UNSW, exchange student groups, and attendees of conferences at UNSW.
